40 Years After Stonewall, Where Do We Stand?

So NYC Pride was this past weekend. I didn't venture out of the house. Sometimes, Depression just really sucks. But I wanted to do something for Pride in New York, and I thought, since I'm just sitting here on the computer responding to tweets on my Twitter account, why not write a blog post?

And that's just what I did. I initially titled it "40 Years After Stonewall, Where Do We Stand?" but as the first paragraph--that I added since posting the article to my blog--shows, there are a number of different titles that I could have used.

So please take a look, and find just how far we've come in the 85 or more years or so that LGBT folk have been fighting for civil rights and equality in the United States. Then, leave a comment, and spread the word if you like what you've read.
