Chicago Police Officer Targeted Gay Drivers For Arrest

First racial profiling, now gay profiling? Be careful when driving around in a predominately gay district in Chicago. You might see flashin' lights in your rear-view mirror.

Four federal lawsuits were filed Thursday against a Chicago Police officer accused of targeting gay and lesbian motorists for unwarranted DUI's on the North Side. At least seven more suits are expected to be filed against Town Hall District police Officer Richard Fiorito in recent weeks, according to a local representative of the gay and lesbian community.

The suits -- which allege Fiorito pulls over gay and lesbian drivers who are not intoxicated, then arrests them for DUI -- also claims other officers in Fiorito's district questioned the validity of his arrests.

How the hell did he make the decision that they were gay just seeing them driving by?!????
Profiling of any type is just stupid. He didn't have anything better to do and he thought that he could get away with picking on gay people~ ugh think again!!!!!

I think he's guessing his odds of pulling over a gay person are pretty good since he's working in the gay district. I was thinking he might be looking for gay pride stickers. Maybe?
