Truthfully, just about never....at least not the rainbow gear. I never liked rainbow stuff, even when I didn't know that it was associated with the GLBT movement.

Hi Daria,

Thank you for responding! I hope you don't mind me asking but what don't you like about the rainbow stuff? When you see it on another person, what's your immediate reaction?

I really appreciate your answers and please feel free to comment. I am interested in everyones opinion.....

Thanks!

I personally wear a rainbow necklace everywhere I go in public; outside of work (2 reasons for my 2 jobs; it would get ruined while working in stone masonry AND I don't wear anything but a solid black top when I do sign language interpreting: visually distracting).

I only started doing this the past year or so....
because I only recently found the perfect pride necklace for me (which was quite a task).

I wear pride... because I'm proud. I also love the colors and the gay folk lore behind them... and most importantly because when I grew up anytime I spotted even the tiniest strip of pride (which I could... from a good distance) my heart pounded and I could breathe again.

Wearing pride is how a lot of my friends and I have come together... beyond gaydar of course. Hope this helps. :)

Dear Colorful,

I loved reading you comments and thank you for responding! I like wearing pride colors, too. I wear it as often as possible, except for work for obvious reasons. Would you mind describing your perfect pride necklace to me and where you found it? It sounds interesting.....

I remember how good it felt when I was finally able to slap a pride sticker on my back bumper! Very liberating!

Please have a safe and wonderful Holiday.
Best Wishes,
KathyT

I don't currently wear pride gear but I think it is because I once saw the coolest bracelet on someone. Small yet it shouted pride. I am always on the search for something small but that will make a huge statement plus I have a hard time wearing any type of jewelry with the exception of my 3 stud earrings and my nose ring. I don't wear anything else but am always on the search for the perfect item.

I also am looking for great sticker for my car. I have never put stickers on the bumpers of any vehicles that I own only on the back window glass. I have yet to find a sticker that is not girly. I don't do flowers, or actual rainbows (too frilly for me) but love, love the rainbow colors; so if anyone knows of a site where I can locate either ~ drop me a line.

Eager to show my pride.

loveandpride.com has a wonderful selection that is not frilly or girly and is also subtle in design.

I hardly ever wear pride gear - oddly. I would maybe wear it more if I had more, but the options to obtain pride wear seem limited. If I got to the store, it is outrageously priced. If I go online, I'm never sure if it will fit properly and always worry about ordering any clothes/jewelry online.

Seems few online retailers put the length of bracelets and necklaces in a description. There is nothing more frustrating than seeing something you like and not knowing if it will fit before ordering online.

I don't have any pride clothing. I like the shirt that says "Marriage is so gay." I would wear that.
