If you could ask "The Church" a question..WHAT would it be?

I am looking for questions.
Weird, right? Most people look for answers, I look for questions.
In the near furture, I will be interviewing Pastor Robbie Ousley from Unidiversal Charismatic Christian Faith and Diversity Evangelism, the GLBT-friendly Church I attend.
www.unidiversal.com
I hope to have a list of questions from around the globe. They can be faith based, the role of the Church in the GLBT community, activist related, pets, really...ANYTHING you want to ask!!

Let me know your question, and please also let me know if you want me to use your name when asking the question (and/or which name you want me to use.)

Thanks for your help!

Wow!!! I love stuff like this for it exposes religion for what it is...a mechanism (a government) created to control the masses. Do I sound like a Marxist or what?

In response to the subject of this discussion, I don’t believe I have anything to ask the church. I do not seek any religious organization’s approval. And unlike faith based individuals, when it comes to a challenge of beliefs (secular v. non-secular), I am not afraid in the same manner they are.

For example when discussing Jesus with a small group of LGBT community members I had mentioned that I too, once had an imaginary friend. The look of horror on the faces of my audience was astounding. Yet, in the same regard when someone mentions their belief in virgin births, miracles, resurrection and the many other fairy tales of the Bible, it does not offend me. I just think, “I wish I could enjoy the same drugs they’re on.”

As mentioned, my fear is different than those of the religious reich. The fear I hold with regard to religion is more about what harm these nuts may cause me. While they are seemingly concerned about whether or not I am to be plagued with eternal hellfire, all the while threatening, beating, killing in the name of their god, they do not have to fear retaliation. They do not fear the LGBT community targeting them specifically for their unfounded beliefs. On this Earth, it seems the Christians only fear the Muslims…and well, everyone in the West is afraid of Muslims. Personally, I think they’re all on a bad trip. Maybe I'll pass on what they're toking on after all.

Hey, I'm a Roman Catholic and obviously I'm a lesbian. I'd like to ask the church on what do they exactly mean by saying, "Being a gay isn't a sin, acting on it is." Hope to hear from you soon.

This is an old video...however, we are already getting ready for the 2010 games which will be held in Germany.

Focusing on how much love and acceptance we receive when we attend such an amazing competition. How could we NOT walk away from the incredible diversity and hope for a change that we have ALL prayed for in one way or another! Without us living each and everyday looking at: "like and how and when we can get to the next one?!?" (=
Smiles and Hugs got to go out to my friends who were there and saw it up close and personal!!!!!!

Hmm... If I had to ask any cult a question, it would be, why do you need to believe in things that don't actually exist, and then try to force those non-existent "beliefs" down everybody else's throats, a'la the Spanish Inquisition, Pat Robertson, Hypocrite Fatfuck Limbaugh, that ignorant twinkie on "The View," Jonestown, the NRA, etc. If people NEED their "beliefs," why can't they just KEEP THEM TO THEMSELVES? Nothing more pitiful than people who have to make it into LAW that THEIR hatreds & inadequacies are THE ONLY WAY. Those of us who don't hold with invisible sky-fairies shouldn't be held to THEIR paradigms, THEIR strictures and constrictions, THEIR neuroses, etc.

Instead of trying to FORCE a multitudinous country, made up of people of ALL kinds of "beliefs," and those of us who believe in doing your good NOW, because now is all we really have (instead of waiting for streets of gold and fat half-nekkid babies with wings, etc.), why can't the invisible-sky-fairy people just LIVE THEIR LIVES and leave everybody else alone? (Keeping in mind here that I am unfortunate enough to be stuck in Vatican West, where it's shoved down your throat at EVERY TURN. It may not be so bad out in the rest of the country, but here, it's like being force-fed regurgitated cat food.)

one simple question that has been asked by christians themselves in past years,

What would Jesus do?

I want to know what they honestly think He would do or say regarding gay marriage.

hmm... I've been asking this for a long long while... What makes homosexuality a sin? Basing on the 10 Commandments, it doesn't seem to violate anything. Well given that you're single, and available, the one you're having relationship with is single as well, it shouldn't be a sin.

I've read here http://www.allaboutgod.com/truth/leviticus-18.htm#22 that it is a sin but, it doesn't explain why.

Can the church justify their claim that homosexuality is a sin?
