Lesbian Couple Asked to Leave Restaurant for "Inapproriate Touching"
A Montgomery County restaurant, a lesbian couple and what happened inside has led to some brewing controversy Wednesday night.
Everyone agrees the couple was asked to leave after showing affection toward one another. But what happened next led to a protest outside the business late Wednesday night.
Aiyi'nah Ford says she has no problem being affectionate in public with her partner Torian Brown. But while embracing after eating a late meal at the Tastee Diner in Silver Spring last week, the lesbian couple was asked by management to leave.
"I had my arms around her and she had her arms around me," said Ford.
On Wednesday night, they came back with supporters demanding an apology. "I turned over and looked at him and said are you serious? It's 2009. I just couldn't believe that this was happening," said Ford.
The two women say they were only hugging when the manager approached them. Ford tells ABC 7 News a heterosexual couple was kissing at a nearby booth at the time. They are convinced this was clearly discrimination.

Duhhhhh! Isn't that part of the "bible belt?" Families greet that way around the world! It is
just another reason to be glad that I reside where I do. Hetero couples are constantly
showing their affection. Do I smell a potential litigation?

Agreed. Hetero couples show affection all the time: kissing in the grocery store checkout line, holding hands at the mall, snuggling in the booth at Applebees . . . you name it, they do it. If you have a problem with PDA, then NO ONE should be allowed to do it.
Personally, I think if those women looked like Hugh Hefner's "bisexual" girlfriends living at the Playboy Mansion, the owner wouldn't have said one word - except maybe, "Can I watch?"

I think you are right in saying if they looked more to his liking that he wouldn't have bothered them. And when did a hug become in appropriate.
Oh I forgot ~ when it was between Lesbians.

Well um I dont know what to say except some people are really stupid and words shouldnt even come out of their mouths. I give my wife PDA all the time as she does me and that will NEVER change.

One article I read said they saw a hetero couple at a nearby table kissing (they weren't asked to leave). Aiyi'nah and Torian embraced with no kiss. A male staff member (manager?) said that one put her face on the others breast. (What was he watching?) ... leaning against each other is part of embracing....
