Pride month was such a busy month for me. Seems everything was happening in the news and trying to keep up was crazy!

I went to Pridefest in San Antonio - it was very hot, but a surprisingly large turnout. The Gay Pride Parade here is on the 4th of July - which is after pride month but we queens are always late.

What did you guys do? Any good pride stories to share?

I went to Milwaukee Pride on Saturday June 13. The following day I learned comedian Karen Williams would be opening for Etta James. I couldn't head back though because I had a radio show scheduled on Sunday with . . . KAREN WILLIAMS! Ugh!

I also did the Janesville/Beloit pride party on June 26. That was ok, but definitely smaller than last year's.

We were invited to meet some of Andrea's friends in Chicago for pride, but I wasn't feelin' up to it. I think we're done with pride for the year although I MIGHT do Madison, WI's pride in August.

Oh I hope you do Madison's pride in August. I may just have to consider a weekend trip for it... hmmm... better get with my peeps in Madison and find out!

Karen Williams opened for Etta James? That's cool. I love Etta James so much... every queen in the universe will likely have "At Last" as their wedding song should we be allowed to marry legally, AT LAST!

Of course, "I Will Survive" could be a close second... ;)

As I haven't a means of transport, my only related event is my coming out to my Mum.
I hope everyone enjoyed the month of June.

The only lgbt sponsor in my city is not having a Pride celebration this year. Claims not enough money to have some tables proudly set up in a local park.

There's going to be a Pride in a nearby city this Saturday 7/11 but I won't be able to go - Tiffany will be singing. (should I be a Tiffany fan?)

So - for pride I'm being myself - out and proud - and reading about other Pride celebrations. That's how I'm celebrating Pride this year!
